In the summer of 2001, with a cup of coffee in Jared's hand and a hot apple cider in Jezi's, we began our lives together. Eleven years later we are as happy today as that first date in Starbucks. Our commitment ceremony was performed in 2004 with one hundred family and friends cheering us on. And this year, we were legally married in New York.
We spend most weekends with our parents and siblings having dinner, laughing and enjoying each others company. We can both remember spending time as children at our grandparents house and our parents can't wait to continue the tradition with our child.
Five years ago, we purchased a one story house in a quiet suburban neighborhood. We love spending time with our three small dogs, (Cosmo, Chase and Chip), two tortouises and fish. Our dogs love kids and enjoy playing with our two year old niece and many young cousins.
Both of us have very successful careers, Jared as an administrator in a large school district and Jezi as a Vet Tech Assistant for a corporate veterinary practice. Our workplaces and colleagues are incredibly supportive of our decision to adopt. Once the big day arrives, Jezi will go down to part-time in order to provide the care that our baby deserves.
While you can never fully be prepared for what challenges await you in parenthood, we know that we have a lot to offer a child. You can rest assured that your child will be loved, supported and provided for in our care and he/she will be surrounded by a large extended family to cheer them on as they grow.
With love
Jared and Jezi
